LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – The Bureau of Land Management is soliciting public opinion on a proposed park in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.
The park planned by Clark County would use 10 acres of land near the Patrick and Tee Pee Lanes for the park and related facilities.
There would be paved walking paths, a paddling area, four multi-layer playgrounds, prefabricated toilets with water bottle fillers, eight shadow structures, four dog runs fenced with lawn, an area for sports / exercise equipment, a garbage enclosure, large lawns, trees, planters, typical desert landscapes, paved hiking trails , concrete sidewalks, a paved street and a parking lot with 53 parking spaces, parking lighting and utilities to directly support the planned park, according to the BLM.
The 45-day period for public comments is December 3rd.
“The BLM is excited to play a role in developing parks that will help the local community grow,” said Shonna Dooman, BLM Las Vegas Field Manager, in a written media statement. “The move will help Clark County Real Property Management improve recreational opportunities for local and future residents in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.”

The BLM cautions against any comments and identifying information can be made publicly available at any time. “Although in your comment you can ask us to withhold your personal information from public scrutiny, we cannot guarantee that we can.”
