How much does it cost to play Wynn Las Vegas Golf Course?

The Wynn Golf Club, just behind the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, blends in perfectly with its cheeky Strip surroundings. It is as Vegas as Vegas can be when it comes to golf course architecture.

Much of the course is brand new, although golf has been played on the site since 1952 when it became the Desert Inn Golf Club.

Steve Wynn bought the resort in 2000 and the Tom Fazio designed Wynn Golf Club opened in 2005. But that facility closed in 2017 when the operators of the adjoining Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino changed uses for the ridiculously valuable land it sits on, and the resort lost millions of dollars in revenue from green fees and other golf-related casinos -Revenue.

After Fazio and his son Logan abandoned plans to build a lagoon on the site with new hotel rooms and restaurants, they were called in to breathe new life into the abandoned route. The Wynn Golf Club reopened in October 2019 with eight new and 10 renovated holes and is par 70 at 6,722 yards.

When playing Wynn Golf Club you don’t have to know anyone who knows someone. You just need to have some disposable income.

Resort guests can arrange tee times 90 days in advance, and the general public game is open with a 30-day advance booking. But be ready to hand over the money: the green fees cost $ 550.

Wynn has one of the highest daily fee course costs in the US, and while that sounds prohibitive to many players, there are many guests at the Wynn Hotel and Casino who play a lot more slot machines in less time than playing a round of golf.

Brian Hawthorne, the resort’s executive director of golf operations, said there is a lot of value in this fee considering its location on the Strip, as well as an all-inclusive experience that includes forecaddie and club rental if needed.

“And if you keep someone from playing for four and a half hours, we might save money,” he said with a laugh.

While this type of green fee isn’t for everyone, Hawthorne is right. As he said, “There are different price ranges for every type of customer,” and many guests at the luxury resort just don’t worry about the price. This is, after all, a Forbes five-star hotel that uses Rolls-Royce limos to transport preferred guests to and from the airport.
