Superstar singer Christina Aguilera christened the 4,500-seater theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas with a quick tour of some of her biggest hits on Thursday night for deals.

The founder of the Virgin Group, Richard Branson, was present at the kick-off concert on Thursday evening with rapper Flo Rida and DJ Mix Master Mike in the renovated theater as well as an earlier press conference and a welcome event in the new Élia Beach Club. At the weekend, the public got a first glimpse of the club and the adjoining resort pool as well as the indoor-outdoor sports bar and the nightlife Money, Baby!

Virgin Las Vegas opened on March 25th and at that time Richard “Boz” Bosworth, President and CEO of JC Hospitality, owner of the resort, was giving a grand opening party to celebrate the renovation and reopening of the former Hard Rock Hotel property would follow when the COVID restrictions have been relaxed.

“We were all locked away because of Covid while all the hard work was going on… and now I believe this has been brought back to life [property]“Said Branson from the stage at Élia Beach Club. “There are now so many magical moments here wherever you go in this hotel.”

The Mediterranean-inspired day club hosted performances by well-known DJ acts such as Deadmau5 and Sofi Tukker on the opening weekend. It takes up a sizable portion of the fully renovated outdoor pool complex, one of the most striking changes from Hard Rock to Virgin. The tropical resort pool is nearby, surrounded by the restaurant terraces of Money, Baby !, Kassi Beach House (which opened on Memorial Day weekend) and Casa Calavera. Nearby is Todd English’s Olives, the last remaining restaurant on the Virgin to be open. Here, the outdoor area is completed with the Event Lawn, which was designed for private events as well as concerts, food festivals and more.

The entertainment offering at Virgin is growing rapidly, with a handful of concerts already planned for the Event Lawn and the smaller indoor theater 24 Oxford, while a new list of larger shows is expected to be announced at the theater this week.
