Here are the properties that received big updates just before the end of the year and the new resorts expected to open this year.
Circa Resort & Casino opens hotel and lounge on the roof
Circa Resort & Casino, which opened its gaming floor and other amenities to a long line of guests in late October, opened its 777-room hotel tower and rooftop lounge on December 28th.
The hotel tower has standard rooms ranging from 402 to 752 square feet; Suites ranging in size from 822 to 1,612 square feet; and six Founders Suites, which according to a press release averaged 1,831 square feet.
The simple rooms are equipped with amenities such as a refrigerator, double vanity and 55-inch flat-screen TV, while the spacious founder suites have room bars, floor-to-ceiling windows, two flat-screen TVs and a fireplace.
The 84,000-square-foot Legacy Club is located on the 60th floor. The upscale lounge offers craft cocktails, an outdoor deck with fire pits, and 360-degree views of Las Vegas.
Circus Circus is changing
Circus Circus Las Vegas added a new exciting ride to its line-up at the Adventuredome in early December.
The ride, called NebulaZ, has eight gondolas, each accommodating four drivers and rotating guests 14 times per minute from a height of 10 meters, according to a press release from the resort.
The resort also closed its buffet in 2020 and will be working on converting this space into a food court, according to a report from Eater in November.

The property will have 1,505 rooms in three towers and will have the city’s first tribal-operated casino with Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, according to a press release. The 60,000 square meter casino will have slot machines, table games, high-limit areas and a range of racing and sports betting.
The property will also feature a resort pool and 13,000 square feet of outdoor entertainment space for concerts and events.
Resorts World Las Vegas opens the summer
Resorts World, an up and coming resort and casino hotel, is still aiming for an opening in the summer of 2021, according to press releases on its website.
According to its website, Resorts World will have 3,500 rooms from three different Hilton brands: Hilton Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts. It will also have 117,000 square feet of gaming space including slot machines, table games, a dedicated poker room, and high limit areas.
As of November, people have been able to apply through a website and the resort is expected to employ 6,000 people.
Further construction work on the MSG Sphere
The MSG Sphere at The Venetian, a spherical entertainment center with more than 17,000 seats from Madison Square Garden with completion date 2023, is already under construction and will continue to grow for visitors to Las Vegas in 2021.
