McCarran International Airport let 4.18 million travelers through its gates in October.
The monthly totals also represent the second time since January 2020 that Las Vegas Airport has passed the 4 million passenger mark. The airport had 4.15 million travelers through its gates in July.
Still, the October volume is 6.6 percent lower than the same month in 2019, according to the Clark County’s Aviation Department.
As of October, McCarran had 31.85 million passengers, 26 percent fewer than the first 10 months of 2019 when 43.11 million travelers flew to or from Las Vegas.
McCarran’s busiest airline, Southwest Airlines, served 1.4 million passengers in October, a 7 percent decrease from 1.5 million travelers in October 2019. For the year, Southwest is 23.5 percent behind 2019 total with 11.3 million passengers through October.
Frontier Airlines continues a strong 2021 with 475,315 passengers served in October, up 36.8 percent from 347,711 passengers in October 2019.
Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air recorded 172,248 passengers in October, a fall of 7.7 percent compared to the passenger volume of 186,626 in October 2019.
Of the five busiest airlines in October, Delta Air had the largest delay compared to 2019 data. Delta’s 395,499 passengers in October were 13 percent behind the 454,797 passengers in October 2019.
