The Las Vegas Police Missing Detail asks the public to help find Jawaher Hejji. She may be in severe emotional distress and need medical attention. Hejji was last seen around noon on December 22nd. READ MORE.

12:35 p.m.
Las Vegas police say the incident near Desert Inn and Cambridge has ended. The woman was arrested and is being taken to hospital for examination. She is facing a battery charge. According to the police, she cut her boyfriend. He didn’t need to go to the hospital. Streets will reopen at 1 p.m.

11 clock
The Las Vegas police are at the scene of a barricade on the 1100 block of East Desert Inn Road and Cambridge. Police said she responded to a disturbance in the family around 9:13 am and was told that a woman was armed with an “edged weapon”. LVMPD SWAT and crisis negotiation teams are on site. Desert Inn Road is closed in both directions between Maryland Parkway and Cambridge Street. The public is advised to avoid the area.

JAN. 8 UPDATE: The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim as 30-year-old Jerry Torres from Las Vegas. Its cause and type of death are still pending.

The Las Vegas Police are investigating a fatality in the 5700 block of Missouri Avenue near the Boulder Highway. According to police, a man with a gunshot wound was taken to hospital and pronounced dead. No arrests were made.

4:23 am
Las Vegas police say a man was shot dead at around 4:23 a.m. in an apartment complex on the 900 block of Brush Street near Charleston and Decatur Boulevards. He suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg. Nobody was arrested.

2:36 am
Las Vegas ire & Rescue responded to a vehicle fire on North Honolulu Street. No injuries reported.
