LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – A nonprofit organization here in the Las Vegas Valley helps seasoned entrepreneurs make their dreams of starting a business come true.

Ann Bernard is a Marine veteran who has served 10 years of active service. When she left the military, she started her first business that didn’t work.

“After a few years I was actually broke, basically homeless and in debt,” said Ann.

Her goal of starting her own business based on her first experience has so far failed.

Now she is daring a second chance at entrepreneurship.

“I want to be the next big tech company to come out of Las Vegas to show that this city has a lot to offer,” said Ann.

Her focus is on turning her current vision into a success. To do this, she enrolled in a course at Bunker Labs, a nonprofit that helps seasoned entrepreneurs and their families start and grow their businesses. Ann says this is a great place to get guidance and feedback.

“It’s a fabulous way of saying, hey, what do you all think of that, right? So you’re not at home trying to figure it all out for yourself, ”Ann said. “The community is there to help make a connection where someone can say, Where are you stuck? I’m stuck here. Okay well here is who I know who can help you. When you’re at home. just put it away. You don’t do these things and your business can’t really take off. “

Mario Mitchell and Dave Berlin are seasoned volunteers who help run the program in Las Vegas.

They call themselves Vetrepreneurs, which is essentially a veteran who is an entrepreneur.

Both volunteer to help other veterans make their dreams come true.

“I think it’s important for veterans to realize that the skills we learned in the military are applicable to startups and growing businesses,” said Dave. “It’s all about finding the right network, the right mentors and the people who can implement and implement your ideas.”

For Ann, this is the perfect place to meet fellow entrepreneurs face to face. She says it’s also a way to keep everyone motivated and never give up.
