Apogee Community Management recently started its Thanks and Giving dress campaign in partnership with nonprofit communities in Schools to support students at Ruben P. Diaz Elementary School in Las Vegas.
Destiny Hartman and Toni Cornett organize donations for a clothing campaign
The Apogee team is looking for donations for warm clothing (hats, scarves, socks, gloves, jackets) for the students at the school. The company’s employees were motivated to help the school after hearing from many students who needed many basic essentials, said Samantha Michaels, executive director of Apogee Management Corp.
“We were looking for a reason to support this holiday season and had heard that this school really needed help. I am so proud of our team. They didn’t hesitate. We started with donations from within and are now reaching out to our vendors and other businesses in the community, ”said Michaels.
The team has been collecting warm clothes since November 1st and will do so until November 30th. He has a mailbox in his office at 4775 West Teco Avenue, Ste. 130, in Las Vegas. Articles can be handed in during business hours.
Apogee team members are also ready to help its vendors and other businesses in the valley by bringing their mailboxes to their offices and workplaces. After the dress promotion is over, Apogee staff will deliver all of the clothes to the school’s students during the first week of December.
The campaign ties in with the company’s support for a “Supply Our Students” campaign at the start of school in August. The team had only been in business for a few months at the time, donating more than $ 500 in school supplies for Valley youth.
With the Thanks and Giving campaign, Apogee staff also cleaned their own closets to help out adults in the community.
“This is Christmas time and we are trying to emphasize the importance of being thankful. We are fortunate enough to have basic needs in life and we know that these little gestures can potentially make a huge difference in someone else’s life, ”added Michaels.
