The insuretech landscape has seen hundreds, if not thousands, of companies that didn’t exist at the time of the first ITC event. Some are direct competitors to established players. Others try to help established players disrupt themselves. Some try to fill the void that no one else taps, neither competitively nor directly enabling. What should the purpose of disruption mean in a world where “disruptors” are no longer part of the established business or established practice? The panelists discuss what an Insuretech disruptor should be.
In addition to insuretech and fintech strategies, Marty Buckle leads the implementation of mergers and acquisitions. He is a globally recognized Wall Street professional with over 20 years experience in special situations executing more than 75 transactions valued at more than $ 30 billion as a trusted financial advisor and executive officer.
Marty graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as an infantry officer in the US Army. After 9/11 he joined the National Guard and continues to serve as a chaplain in the US Army. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Georgia Institute of Technology’s School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, where he earned a Masters Degree in Operations Research. Marty also holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and is a graduate of US Army Command and General Staff College.
