City of Las Vegas celebrates Black History Month with local artists

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – Eight local artists are showcasing their work at Las Vegas City Hall for their African American Heritage Exhibition.

The exhibition highlights the triumphs and advances within the Black community.

Jeanne Voltura, the city’s visual arts specialist, says the exhibition is a reflection of black history and the future of African Americans.

“A good city is a city that promotes diversity,” said Voltura.

She also says it’s important that each culture take the time to learn something new.

The exhibition can be seen until April 14th.

However, the exhibition is not open to the public due to COVID-19 restrictions.
