LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – As many return to their normal routine, they are leaving the traditional office mindset and turning to more flexibility. 8 News Now took a look at the growing trend for coworking spaces in Las Vegas and why many business owners are moving in.
“This is what the coworking movement is all about. It’s about collaboration, community, collaboration, ”said Brandon Davis, CEO of MNGR, a digital marketing agency.
His team works in the co-working space The Coop near the city center and Summerlin Parkway.
“I love when I feel like leaving my office and getting into the open area, I can,” said Davis. “There’s a lot of flexibility in movement.”
Co-working spaces offer offices, desks and conference rooms that can be rented on a monthly basis.
“You build relationships with people who can help you with what you need to do,” explains Dana Berggren, owner of The Coop. “We’re all different companies here, so there is an enormous amount of resources.”
The Coop is one of more than a dozen different coworking spaces across the valley, including WeWork, Bottega Exchange, FeatherNest and many more. Seat prices vary, with a reserved desk ranging from $ 200 to $ 450 per month. This can save start-up costs.
“Especially in today’s modern business landscape, where I think you need to be able to spin and move and be flexible, this is a perfect situation for most companies,” said David.
Due to the pandemic, Berggren says she has seen more remote workers relocating from big cities. As many people look for new job opportunities after the pandemic, she believes the concept of the co-working pace will continue to grow.
“The flexible co-working space gives people the opportunity to test their company’s water without long-term signings and then hopefully grow and move into something more permanent,” said Berggren.
Many coworking spaces offer day tickets as well as weekend hours for those who have a sideline.
