(PRESS RELEASE) – DraftKings Inc., a leader in the digital sports entertainment and games industry, today announced its newest, state-of-the-art office location in Las Vegas, which is expected to host an expanded team of more than 1,000 people. The company’s new 90,000-square-foot technology center will take up much of an entire building in UnCommons, the 40-acre modern workspace and stylized mixed-use community of the Matter Real Estate Group coming to Southwest Las Vegas in early 2022.

“Our new office space and expansion in Las Vegas is another example of DraftKings’ investment in its people and the future of the company and the local community,” said Matt Kalish, co-founder and president of DraftKings for North America. “Our goal is to create another world class work environment that will fuel DraftKings innovation, further strengthen our local presence and deepen community engagement. With these high ambitions, we were thrilled that UnCommons reflected these high standards. “

DraftKings’ new Las Vegas office will be the second largest for the fast-growing company and will closely mimic its Boston headquarters, complete with a bespoke DraftKings branded floor plan and collaborative workspaces, as well as access to a variety of entertainment and workplaces. Designed by world-class visionaries IA Interior Architects, the office will consist of more than 130 dedicated sports trading desks surrounded by full multimedia walls, a 7,500 square meter cafeteria and event space, a bespoke casino training pit, a 500 square meter large – interactive putt-view putting green, private and public outdoor areas and rooms for mothers. The company’s new Las Vegas office will also provide the infrastructure to provide unmatched amenities for employees, including on-site haircuts and manicure / pedicure, a prayer suite, and more.

“We are excited to offer the level of modern workspace and innovation that DraftKings seeks in its second largest office in the United States,” said Jim Stuart, partner at Matter Real Estate Group. “We look forward to providing an idyllic setting in which to cultivate meaningful relationships, improve performance and spark new ideas.”

UnCommons was designed by the world-renowned architecture firm Gensler and will enhance the workplace experience with market-leading design and technology, floor-to-ceiling windows that welcome natural light and offer views of the natural surroundings of Las Vegas, breakout rooms for individual work or small group collaboration, a conference center, that can be used for small meetings and workshops, and more. By bringing together several fitness studios, open-air communal areas, contemporary living units and a mix of dining options, the campus will lay the foundation for a thriving, inspiring workplace. Future phases will expand UnCommons to more than 500,000 square feet of modern office space built with distinctive architectural features and the latest in security innovations.

DraftKings’ Las Vegas presence has grown 400% since the first office opened in January 2020. Last year, DraftKings announced various agreements that will foster the company’s connections with the Las Vegas community. They signed a multi-year agreement as the main sponsor of the UNLV Center for Gaming Innovation and opened the new DraftKings Gaming Innovation Studio at UNLV, which provides access to local talent and technology. In early 2021, the company also announced the acquisition of Las Vegas-based VSiN, a multi-platform broadcast and content company that has been delivering trusted sports betting news, analysis and data to US sports bettors since 2017.
