KISS bassist / vocalist Gene Simmons listed his property in southern Nevada for $ 14,950,000. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties’ Ivan Sher Group has been selected to represent the home in the prestigious Ascaya community in Henderson, south of the Las Vegas Strip.
“This home has so much to offer, from its incredibly expansive valley views and contemporary modern architecture to its commitment to privacy and exclusivity,” said Evangelina Duke-Petroni, broker-seller at The Ivan Sher Group. Duke-Petroni is listing the property together with Ivan Sher, Director of the Ivan Sher Group. “Attention to detail is very common throughout the home, with features like the oversized tile on the floor, custom-made concrete bricks, and wood accents on the ceiling.”
Simmons’ modern desert mansion in the McCullough Mountain Range offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Las Vegas Valley and the Strip like nowhere else in southern Nevada. The house extends over 11,000 square meters and is well above the valley and is set on almost 1 hectare of land with two plots, which has a private garden with hiking trails next to the house.
The property has three levels including a basement, six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and 11 attached garage spaces. The house leads the residents through a secluded front courtyard entrance with a floating passage over a koi pond, water features and glass sculptures. Inside, the central great room greets guests with a towering three-tier glass wall that overlooks the pool and city lights.
Most rooms throughout the house feature expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and disappearing glass walls for a seamless indoor and outdoor experience, including the kitchen, where sliding doors lead to a covered outdoor kitchen and a direct view of the Strip. The individual, contemporary design of the kitchen offers shiny red accents throughout, angular stainless steel appliances and cabinets, two central islands, two deep sinks, two dishwashers and an elongated breakfast bar with space for seven seats.
The master bedroom on the upper floor shows a whole glass wall and hangs over the backyard terrace, creating a breathtaking illusion of floating over the entire valley. The room has a separate sitting area, private balcony, and primary bathroom with a double shower and natural accents of river rocks. A secondary master bedroom with a private guest toilet is located on the ground floor with access to the courtyard.
The home also includes a dining room with vanishing corner walls that overlook the front courtyard, as well as a commercial elevator to all three levels and a built-in tropical aquarium. On the lower level, residents can enjoy a chic theater with 11 seats and state-of-the-art theater equipment, as well as a private bar and lounge area with bar seating and a partially closed outdoor living area with three TVs next to each other. A separate staircase leads from the bar to a resort-style back yard with a sunken fire pit and a sparkling pool in the center with a shallow lounge area and spa.
The property is located in Ascaya, an unspoilt luxury gated community tucked away in the southern mountain ranges of the Las Vegas Valley. Residents enjoy a huge 23,000 square meter clubhouse with towering roof lines, breathtaking terraced gardens, and private social and event rooms. Ascaya’s exclusive amenities include a well-equipped fitness center, lounge, pool and spa, pickleball courts, and a two-tier tennis pavilion.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Simmons paid a combined $ 10.8 million for the house and a lot off it in May.
