LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Another major commercial event returns to Las Vegas.
The American Gaming Association (AGA) officially announced that the Global Gaming Expo, also known as G2E, will return to Las Vegas at Sands Expo October 4-7. The event will take place in person after a one-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The announcement comes as Clark County lifts all COVID-19 restrictions, including capacity limits and social distancing.
“G2E has been a leader in unifying the global gaming community for over 20 years and we are thrilled to come together this October for this signature event in the industry,” said Korbi Carrison, Event Director of G2E.
In the run-up to G2E, show management conducted a study to see if people would return to a personal show in Las Vegas. More than 8 in 10 respondents said they would be either very or more likely to attend the show if it took place in Las Vegas. About 93% said that participating in G2E is important to the overall business of their company.
“We can’t wait to bring the industry back together for G2E 2021 in Las Vegas,” said Meredith Pallante, vice president of global events at AGA. “The industry has shown tremendous resilience during the pandemic, and the opportunity to gather again will be another major milestone in our strong recovery.”
G2E organizers said the event will have improved security policies to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
