By the end of 2021, the company is expected to have more than 30 hotels and over 11,000 rooms from 12 brands on the market. After Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, the opening ceremony of CurioCollection by Hilton in June, and just weeks before the expected event, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Hotels & Resorts make debut in the integrated Resorts World Las Vegas complex Hilton is making an epic return to this premier destination, bringing new premium and luxury brands to the Strip.
“Hilton helped create the Las Vegas we know today – the entertainment capital of the world grew as we invested in unparalleled hotels, restaurants, entertainment and design,” said Chris Nassetta, President and CEO of Hilton. “Now we are raising the bar again and offering brands for every travel style with a renewed focus on premium and luxury hotels. Las Vegas was a particular ray of hope in our global growth strategy and we are excited to open thousands of rooms there as soon as people travel again. “
Hilton is committed to continuing its market expansion with a pipeline of seven hotels and nearly 4,000 rooms across five brands, aiming to increase its presence by more than 50% by 2023. This expands the company’s development pipeline from more than 2,570 hotels in the area around the world * and opens 105 new hotels with a total of more than 16,500 rooms in the first quarter, achieving strong net unit growth of 5.8%.
Hilton has an eventful history in Las Vegas with the former Las Vegas Hilton, once the largest hotel in the world and one of the most famous hotels in the city. The hotel made Hilton the first company listed on the New York Stock Exchange to enter the domestic gaming business in 1970 and the first hospitality company to have a “residence” for top stars by hosting well-known entertainers such as Elvis Presley for extended periods of time. With these industry firsts, Hilton helped establish Las Vegas as the premier leisure and business travel destination that has remained to this day.
According to a recent poll by Hilton, nearly a quarter of Americans polled placed Las Vegas at the top of their must-see travel destinations. Hilton is making these travel wishlists come true for guests including more than 115 million Hilton Honors members worldwide as it grows its presence in the marketplace. With a variety of hotel accommodations, offerings and unique amenities coupled with unmistakable Hilton hospitality, the company’s growing Las Vegas hotels serve every traveler for every occasion, supported by an award-winning guest loyalty program.
