After opening a service hub at Harry Reid International Airport (KLAS) in Las Vegas last month, Jet East, the maintenance provider for business aviation, plans to increase its workforce there by holding a recruitment event on July 26th and 27th. The New Jersey-based company has more than 50 open positions at KLAS for maintenance, avionics, structural engineers and several other support positions.

At KLAS, Jet East operates from an existing 30,000 square foot facility, a spokesman said AIN. The company plans to eventually employ more than 100 people at this location.

The company’s KLAS location, designated by Jet East as a Citation Center of Excellence, will primarily focus on supporting the Citation Sovereign, the spokesman said, although “we are already visiting some super-midsize and large-cabin aircraft.” Jet East introduced its first sovereign to KLAS on June 1st.

Acquired by Gama Aviation in January, Jet East has a US presence with 400 employees, more than 90 AOG technicians across the country, coverage of 65 business airports and more than 10 line stations and heavy scheduled maintenance facilities.
