She is Miss Independent and is living her best life! Midst Kelly Clarkson‘s ongoing divorce from her estranged husband Brandon Blackstock, she was enjoying a weekend getaway with friends in Las Vegas.
The 39-year-old singer “Since U Been Gone” shared several snaps on Instagram on Friday, August 13th while having fun with a couple of her close friends.
“Friends, Vegas, Top Golf, and George Strait… I urge you to enjoy yourself better than me now 😜“, The talk show host titled a masked selfie of the three women.
In the picture, Clarkson and her two friends wore cloth masks, oversized sunglasses, and ponytails as they played a round of top golf.
The trio later swapped their sportswear for sleek looks to be part of it George Street‘s “Strait to Vegas” concert in the T-Mobile Arena, with the voice mentor even calling him the reigning “King of Country Music” via her Instagram.
The “Piece by Piece” singer’s entertaining vacation came two days after she reportedly won her Montana estate – where Blackstock, 44, currently lives – in her ongoing divorce, TMZ reported for the first time.
In documents previously filed on Aug. 9, the Grammy winner said she hoped to sell the ranch, which she described as a “financial burden”. However, her application was rejected at the time.
Blackstock testified in court at the time that he currently lives and works on the property. The talent manager also stated during the procedure that he wanted to leave the entertainment industry to become a full-time rancher. Blackstock moved for an order stating that he would pay the upkeep of the property, but if he didn’t, the Miss Independent singer can file another petition to sell the property.
Since breaking up with Blackstock, Clarkson has been ready to find love again, a source exclusively confirmed in the latest issue of Us Weekly on Thursday, August 12th.
“They haven’t been together yet and have waited until they are legally divorced, which will be in the next two weeks,” the insider said.
While pausing potential dates to complete the process, the source shared with us that the American Idol alum has recruited The Voice co-star Blake Shelton – which is administered by Blackstock – to help her find a suitor. “She wants a younger, up-and-coming country singer [who] understands the business, ”remarked the source.
Clarkson and the Texas native married in 2013 and have two children – River, 7 and Remington, 5 – before filing for divorce in June 2020, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
