LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Las Vegas police said they arrested an officer on Saturday who allegedly “participated in an organized theft ring.”

Official Samuelito Quijano of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has been assigned to the Clark County Detention Center for aggravated theft, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy to break into the property.

Quijano did not appear to be in custody at the CCDC on Saturday night.

“This is an ongoing investigation as additional charges are expected,” LVMPD said in a statement to the media.

Quijano has been part of the Enterprise Division Command since 2017.

“Quijano was subjected to police violence without payment until the outcome of the criminal and internal investigations,” said the police.
