LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – While Las Vegas prepares for a big weekend of entertainment, 8 News Now got the chance to catch up with Garth Brooks before his Saturday night show at Allegiant Stadium.

Tourists and locals alike said Las Vegas is back in business.

“I’m glad it’s back,” said visitor Orenthal Peck about the city’s recovery. “It’s about time.”

“Just excited to get back to normal,” added Jeremy, who was also visiting town.

Performers take the stage; Casinos are busy and sports arenas are full of live fans.
However, we wouldn’t be the entertainment capital of the world without a jam-packed weekend to celebrate the return of our city.

“We’re getting shows back, concerts,” said tourist Greg Anastasides. “I miss concerts; everyone else too. “

Big names like Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Chelsea Handler will make a name for themselves if the Las Vegas Aces and Big3 Basketball League have a tip.

UFC 264 is also on everyone’s lips, as Conor McGregor takes on Dustin Piorier.

Garth Brooks will also start his stadium tour on Saturday. 8 News Now spoke to the country superstar about his performance at Allegiant Stadium.

“Standing down there,” Brooks said of the venue. “There is no such thing as a bad place in the house.”

Brooks also shared his love for our local community.

“The best thing about Vegas is that everyone is talking about the lights and all that stuff,” the artist explained. “The best thing about Vegas is the people.”

For anyone venturing into town from home to see the Strip for the first time, there is no shortage of fun to make any adventure spectacular.

“I’m pretty excited about everything,” concluded Jeremy, who was visiting Las Vegas.
