Las Vegas Police are investigating a fatal knife stab in a shisha lounge in western Las Vegas late Sunday.

Murder detectives gathered outside the Sultan’s Palace at 8125 W. Sahara Avenue early Monday to investigate the scene. Almost half a dozen people were seen gathering outside the store in the West Sahara Promenade shopping complex on Cimarron Road and speaking to the police. Another person was treated in an ambulance.

Police Lt. Jason Johansson said at 11:48 p.m. the officers had received a report of a man who was stabbed to death in the lounge parking lot.

“The rapporteur said the man had already been transported by one of his friends,” said Johansson. “Shortly thereafter, the University Medical Center pulled up a vehicle in which a man stopped the police and said his friend had been stabbed.”

The man died in the hospital.

“There was kind of a fight in business,” said Johansson. “During that argument, the male victim, who is about 36 years old, was stabbed to death.”

The police tried to identify the man’s attacker. Anyone with information on the cases is asked to call the Las Vegas Police Department Homicide at 702-828-3521 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
