LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – Neighbors in a southwest neighborhood of Las Vegas woke up to the sound of gunshots early Saturday morning. More than 20 scattered bullets hit several houses and cars in the area.
“It was bad. It was really scary. The cars drove like crazy and a lot of kids ran out of the house,” said Kristal Blanton, who lives in the area.
The Las Vegas Metro Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on the 700 block of London Eyes Court, west of the Rhodes Ranch community.
According to LVMPD, the shooting was the result of an argument that escalated and spilled out onto the street
Safety footage sent to 13 Action News by residents of the area shows a large group of teenagers on the street and several cars passing by. More than 20 shots could be heard.
“If the ball had landed any higher, it would have gone straight through my husband’s office window. It’s been bad parenting on behalf of the other household and hopefully there will be better judgment next time, ”Blanton said.
No casualties have been reported and the shooting is currently being investigated by police.
