HomeAid Southern Nevada Completes Project
HomeAid Southern Nevada, the Official Outreach Partner of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, has nearly completed its third of four custom home renovations on the New Vista Ranch property that will benefit people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The house should be ready by September 20th.
HomeAid provided time and materials through in-kind donations from trading partners, and home builder Toll Brothers directed construction on one of the four homes on New Vista Ranch. The renovations and upgrades include exterior paintwork, new cabinets, floors, shiplap surfaces, back panels, and countertops throughout the home. New equipment and window treatments were included as part of the project.
In total, the renovation work will cover almost 3,000 square meters for the residents. The recently renovated home serves as part of HomeAid’s mission to provide safe, clean, and dignified accommodations to those in need. For more information on HomeAid Southern Nevada, visit homeaidsn.org.

TSK Architects employees complete a leadership program
TSK Architects announces that Bruce Preston, Executive Director, and Ree Miskimon, Director of Marketing, are graduates of the Society of American Military Engineers’ Leadership Development Program.
“We are proud of Bruce and Ree for their dedication to professional development and we are delighted with their years of commitment to the leadership development program with an incredible organization like the Society of American Military Engineers,” said Windom Kimsey, President and CEO of TSK Architects. “With an outstanding track record, Ree and Bruce set themselves apart as they are two of only 18 entrants from across the country who were selected. We look forward to your continued success and growth. “
The Leadership Development Program supports the growth of the next generation of world-class military, government, civil and industrial leaders for society and the United States. Out of over 60 applicants, only 18 were selected in the US and abroad.
As part of the program, both Preston and Miskimon spent over 140 hours on the program, which included virtual monthly calls, reading four leadership development books, and developing a capstone project that they collaborated with another classmate. The project resulted in a toolkit that SAME Posts across the country can use in developing their scholarship mentoring program. Her project received high praise from the leaders of the company.
TSK Architects celebrates its 61-year anniversary and is an architecture, planning and interior design office with headquarters in Henderson and branches in Los Angeles and Reno-Tahoe as well as in Shanghai, China.
Founded in 1960, the company has built a reputation for design excellence and customer service. In 2019, TSK Architects was named AIA Nevada Firm of the Year in recognition of its award-winning work portfolio that includes projects across sectors such as K-12, higher education, public safety, justice and civil society.
Notable projects include the Mills Lane Justice Center, Douglas County Community Center, the Las Vegas Convention Center expansion, and the renovation of the Heroes Memorial.
