The Summerlin community, planned by a master plan, is accepting submissions for its Summerlin 2021 photography competition, which is open to both professional and amateur photographers aged 18 and over. Submissions will be accepted until September 9th in the events area on Summerlin.com.

The winners will be announced and presented at the Summerlin Festival of Arts 2021 from October 9th to 10th in Downtown Summerlin. Winning photos can be displayed in Downtown Summerlin year round and will be used on Summerlin’s social media channels with credit being awarded to photographers.

Photographers are invited to submit photos in three categories: architecture, artificial landscapes and natural landscapes within and in the immediate vicinity of the community. To qualify, architectural and man-made landscapes must be an object within Summerlin; Natural landscapes must be in Summerlin or the adjacent Red Rock Canyon National Conversation Area / Spring Mountains area. You can find a Summerlin border map at summerlin.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Borders-Map-May.pdf.

According to Danielle Bisterfeldt, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Consumer Experience at Summerlin, the community has long been the subject of thousands of photos seen around the world.

“Summerlin is known for both its natural and man-made beauty, so the photo contest is the perfect way to invite Shutterbugs to celebrate the intrinsic grandeur of the community. From the stunning red rocks that frame the western edge of the parish, to contemporary architecture and well-manicured parks, streetscapes, and public areas, Summerlin has many ideal subjects for photographers. We’re excited to begin receiving submissions. “

The photos are judged by a team of professional photographers. Each category winners will receive a $ 250 Downtown Summerlin Gift Card and a professional print of their winning photo to be displayed at the Festival of Arts October 9-10. Runner-up in each category will receive a $ 50 Downtown Summerlin Gift Card.
