Fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming ILLENIUM “Trilogy” concert at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, a performance the EDM superstar has called “the greatest show I’ve ever done”. But alarming and threatening messages shared by a multi-account user through a number of social media channels caught the attention of some potential attendees over the weekend.
After a fan asked ILLENIUM and Excision in a now-deleted tweet to look into the situation, they announced that the authorities had been informed of the threats and that both artists were aware of the situation.
Another Twitter user then posted a reply to the tweet that included screenshots of the threats posted by accounts that have since been disabled. Shortly thereafter, a flood of tweets poured in from concerned music fans.
ILLENIUM responded to the first tweet confirming that he was aware of the situation and that he and his team were taking all necessary steps to prevent any kind of hostile behavior on “Trilogy”.
“Yes, my team and I are aware of the situation and are working on it with the authorities and the stadium,” wrote ILLENIUM. “My top priority at any of my shows is that the fans feel safe. We take all threats seriously and anyone who makes them will be reported to the police and will not be allowed to go into the venue.”
The user who made the alleged threats eventually revealed that he had checked into a mental health facility for professional help before disabling his Twitter account.
Fans can keep an eye on the ILLENIUM Twitter page for more information on the situation and the upcoming “Trilogy” performance, due to take place on July 3rd.
