Instead, Erika strikes through town, showing the critics that she doesn’t care that they cast shadows.
Erika gets into big trouble thanks to her husband Tom Girardi’s legal troubles. The disgraced attorney was accused of embezzling the widows and orphans’ money in the crash of Lion Air Flight 610. The money is said to have financed him and Erika’s opulent lifestyle. Prosecutors allege Tom spent at least $ 2 million in settlement funds. Erika also faced the aftermath of an article in the Los Angeles Times that said the alleged embezzlement was not the first time Tom had been accused of funding Erika’s lifestyle. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has denied ever spending the money.
Earlier this week, the “Pretty Mess” singer made her first public appearance since her troubles began in November. Erika shared an Instagram post of herself in a pink satin dress as she partied that night at a restaurant opening. Bravo fans were less than impressed with the housewife, with one follower, @the_bravo_chicks, who remarked, “Yeah, you look really stressed out here 😬.” Numerous fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills felt that Erika started the fire to anger critics who say she should show more empathy for the victims. The RHOBH was apparently unaffected by the bulletins. Shortly after the night in Sin City, Tom revealed in an interview that Erika should have known about his legal problems.
Throughout the ordeal of Tom’s legal affairs, Erika remained relatively calm.
