LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – As we celebrate Black History Month, 13 Action News also pay tribute to those who are making progress within our local community and embody what we like to call Black Excellence.

One of those people is a 5 year old boy from Las Vegas.

Justyn Boumah proves that there’s no age limit when you’re trying to make a difference.

Justyn and his mother help put together care packages for plumbing workers and the homeless to give something back.

They call it the Blessing Project and it’s something they do every year and that doesn’t stop there.

Justyn is also the youngest Black writer published.

He has written 11 books with the help of his mother.

Every year he also hosts a read-a-thon called “Around the World,” where he brings children around the world together to read books.
