The following is a list of 13 things to do in Las Vegas this week.
1. A unique art exhibition is being held at the Priscilla Fowler Fine Art Gallery in downtown Las Vegas. The exhibition shows the work of 5 art teachers and their students. The show ends on May 29th. All pieces on display can be purchased.
2. Mesquite Motor Mania takes place May 21-23 in Mesquite. The annual classic car fair shows all years / brands / models of classic cars. There will be burn-out contests, slow drags, multiple vendors, food, and more.
3. The Fresh52 Farmers & Artisan Market is coming to the Arts District for the first time on May 21st. The market showcases more than 40 small businesses ranging from handcrafted soaps and self care products to candles, pet supplies and goodies to jewelry and home decor, grocery sellers and much more. The market is held in the Arts District every Friday from 3pm to 8pm.
4. The Winchester Dondero Cultural Center celebrates Hawaiian culture through music and dance on May 21st at 7:00 pm. Tickets for the performance of E Ola Mau are $ 10.
5. Downtown Country Throwdown makes its debut at Downtown Container Park on May 21st. Every first and third Friday of the month, country music fans can enjoy line dancing, live music and specialty drinks. The fun starts with the class at 6 p.m. Container Park’s three bars Oak & Ivy, Downtown Terrace and Bin 702 have put together a selection of specialty drinks that are available to dehydrated guests. Admission is free. The park is restricted to people aged 21 and over after 9 p.m.
6. G4 Live, presented by Budtender Awards, will take place May 21-23 in Mandalay Bay. The cannabis convention features 150+ vendors, brand certification, and on-site training from Cloverleaf University, live music, canna pro wrestling, and parties. Travis Barker is performing Friday night. There will also be guest speakers throughout the weekend.
7. Titantic: The artifact exhibition at the Luxor Hotel-Casino invites guests to honor National Maritime Day on May 22nd. Maritime enthusiasts get an in-depth look at the historical and tragic journey that led to new laws and regulations designed to prevent future disasters. The exhibition features more than 400 artifacts and dramatic replicas.
8. The African diaspora of Las Vegas will celebrate Africa Day on May 22nd at Mountain’s Edge Regional Park from 11 am to 6 pm. There is music, drums, a children’s corner, dance, vendors, food and much more.
9. Najee will perform on the next Jazz in the Park series on May 22nd at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater. Admission is free. There will be a coronavirus vaccination clinic from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
10. JING in downtown Summerlin. Guests can enjoy a stellar selection from Chef Thomas Griese’s brunch menu, including Lobster Eggs Benedict with Caviar Upgrade Option, Seafood Tower, Honey French Toast, Creekstone Farms New York Steak & Eggs, and Avocado Toast. The restaurant’s regular menu can be purchased throughout the day, and live ambient music sets the scene for the day. The party will evolve into an energetic atmosphere that features a live DJ, bites, and bottle service available late into the night. Guests can expect instagrammable photo opportunities, carefully placed throughout the restaurant, and changing seasonal decor. Every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., starting on Sunday April 11th. A special brunch menu is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
11. Dine for life at Trattoria Reggiano in downtown Summerlin on May 24th. A generous percentage of sales that day will benefit Golden Rainbow, which provides shelter, education, wellness and financial assistance to men, women and children living with or affected by HIV / AIDS. Enjoy eggplant parmesan, filet mignon meatballs or hand-thrown stone oven pizzas. Must show the Dine Out for Life flyer from the Golden Rainbow website.
12. The HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas in the Luxor Hotel-Casino has introduced the industry night Let’s Play Thursday every Thursday evening from 7pm to 11pm. The 30,000-square-meter venue invites guests to mix and match while they take part in weekly friendship competitions that offer an unparalleled fan experience with changing themes and game nights. All Let’s Play Thursday events are 18+ and are free to enter. A game for all ages will continue to be available in the lobby if you’d like to play your favorite games from 12 noon on Thursdays.
13. Comedian Jaime Kennedy will perform at the Delirious Comedy Club in the Downtown Grand from May 27th through May 31st. He is accompanied by comedians Jason Rogers and Kyle Anderson.
