Asylum and hotel anxiety
29.-31. Oct
You have to respect haunted houses that boast in their Frequently Asked Questions that adults are so scared they pee themselves: “We usually have several confirmed ‘wetter’ every weekend. … We average 40 or more per season! ”Asylum and Hotel Fear, each telling part of an original, intertwined story, have 23 years of experience frightening Las Vegans. The Asylum was rebuilt from the ground up last year, while Hotel Fear was modernized in time for this season. They are open Friday through Sunday from 6:30 PM to midnight in the Meadows Mall parking lot. Tickets are $ 37 and include both haunted houses; Adult diapers or a change of pants are not included. Freakling Bros. horror shows
Until Oct 31
Who is ready to enter the “gates of hell”? No, parents, we’re not talking about bringing the kids to Chuck E. Cheese – that’s a different kind of Hades. Instead, we’re referring to the return of the aforementioned Freakling Bros. Horror Shows attraction, which calls itself Nevada’s only R-rated hangout. New this year: “The Men’s Room”, a “provocative, grotesque and immersive new experience” that sounds like almost every men’s room of all time. There will also be fortune tellers and food trucks, but be forewarned, the stomach upsetting fun can make these nachos difficult to keep to you. In the Ikea parking lot, 6555 S. Riley St., the shows start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $ 50. freakingbros.com

Parade of mischief
Oct. 29th 30th
We love a parade, especially if it’s a parade with ghosts, witches, wizards, and dancing zombies, and that’s why the Parade of Mischief in Downtown Summerlin is so appealing. The macabre marches continue along Park Center Drive every Friday and Saturday evening in October, starting at about 7 p.m. and lasting about half an hour. It’s all family friendly, free, and open to the public. sommerlin.com

“Spirit (s)”
Until October 30th
Now for something completely different: immersive horror theater. The structure: The Pyewacket Society for Occultural Affairs “recruits new members in their constant search for contact with the afterlife”. You and five other candidates will be taken “beyond the veil”, presumably to deal with the formerly living and to learn their hot views on the afterlife. There’s no telling what you might encounter, but here’s a hint: “This performance is not recommended for viewers who are uncomfortable standing, walking, or climbing stairs” – and here come the griffins – “crawling or being alone” . This is a fully immersive experience so physical contact is possible and there is no guarantee that it will be with a currently living being. You have been warned. $ 35; Usual location is 100 S. Maryland Parkway. thepyewacketsociety.com
