Henderson’s Emerald Island Casino and Rainbow Club Casino are proud to announce their recognition in nine categories at the Las Vegas Review Journal’s Best of Las Vegas Awards. Emerald Island Casino received the following awards: Gold for Best Henderson Restaurant, Gold for Best Breakfast, Silver for Best Henderson Casino, Silver for Best Local’s Casino, Silver for Best Coffee Shop & Diner, Bronze for Best Video Poker and bronze for the best paying slots. Rainbow Club Casino received a silver award in the Best Brunch category and a bronze award for Best Burger.

“We’re proud to have won so many categories at the Best of Las Vegas Awards this year,” said Tim Brooks, co-owner of Emerald Island and Rainbow Club Casino. “Both houses have a rich history in Henderson and we are grateful for the loyalty of our customers and the community who voted for us, but also for the hard work of the employees who are the real recipients of these awards.”

Both Emerald Island Casino and Rainbow Club Casino are owned and operated by brothers Tim and Mike Brooks. The Emerald Island Casino, formerly known as the Pot of Gold Casino, was remodeled and renamed in 2003 and is now considered the first choice for locals. Located on Water Street in the historic Water Street District of Downtown Henderson, Rainbow Club Casino has been an integral part of the Henderson community since 1967. Originally operated as a grocery store, the Rainbow Club was built to provide goods and services to workers of the Basic Magnesium Company during World War II. In 1984, Peppermill Casinos bought the property and sold it to the Brooks Brothers in 2020, who reopened the casino in September 2020 after extensive indoor and outdoor redesigns.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal has been running the Best of Las Vegas Awards since 1981 and is taking place for the 40th time this year. There were over 400 categories of nominations in this year’s competition, making it the largest version in the history of the competition.
