Williston Basin International Airport (XWA) and Sun Country Airlines announced on Tuesday that they will begin a new non-stop flight from XWA to Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) on September 2, 2021.
The service runs twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays with introductory fares starting from USD 79 * each way.
“We know so many people are excited to travel again, and we’re excited to offer the people of Williston the opportunity to travel with us to the entertainment capital of the world,” said Grant Whitney, Sun Country Chief Revenue Officer Airlines. “We’re confident that Williston residents will appreciate our brand of convenient, affordable travel that makes it easy for them to get to warm, fun destinations like Las Vegas.”

XWA opened on October 10, 2019 and was the first new greenfield airport in the US to be built from scratch in the past nine years. The State of North Dakota, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the City of Williston worked together to build XWA. The 103,000 square meter terminal has four gates with three passenger boarding bridges and is designed for around 300 passengers per hour at peak loads and aircraft up to 250,000 pounds.
