LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) announces $ 247,700 for road improvements, ramp repairs, and a bypass of Lake Mead Boulevard (State Route 147) heading west on the ramp to US Highway 95 in northwest Las Vegas. Las Vegas Paving Corp. is the general contractor. Therefore, from the evening of June 20th to the morning of June 28th, drivers can expect the following nocturnal traffic disruptions:
June 20 – June 21 (Sunday night – Monday morning)
• The driveway from Lake Mead Boulevard west to US Highway 95 south will be closed from June 20 at 6:00 p.m. to June 21 at 6:00 a.m. northwest of Las Vegas. • The right west lane of Lake Mead Boulevard and the hard shoulder will be closed from Rainbow Boulevard to Rock Springs Drive from 6:00 PM on June 20 to 6:00 AM on June 21 in northwest Las Vegas. • The right lane and hard shoulder of US Highway 95 going south will be from Lake Mead Boulevard to Lake Mead Boulevard in northwest Las Vegas from June 20, 6:00 PM through June 21, 6:00 AM -Bridge closed over US Highway 95.
June 21 – June 28 (Monday night – Monday morning)
• The driveway from Lake Mead Boulevard west to US Highway 95 south will be closed from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM from the evening of June 21 through the morning of June 28 in northwest Las Vegas. (There is no work on Friday or Saturday night, June 25-26). • The right lane and hard shoulder of Lake Mead Boulevard to the west will be closed from Rainbow Boulevard to Rock Springs Drive from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., starting on the evening of June 21 and through the morning of June 28 in northwest Las Vegas . (There is no work on Friday or Saturday night, June 25-26). • The right south lane of US Highway 95 and the hard shoulder will be from Lake Mead Boulevard offframp to Lake Mead Boulevard Bridge on US Highway 95 from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. from the evening of June 21 through locked for the morning of June 28, in northwest Las Vegas. (There is no work on Friday or Saturday night, June 25-26).
Drivers should exercise caution when driving through the work area, observe the construction site signs and, if possible, choose alternative detour routes. NDOT is working with Waze to notify the public of proposed highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures, and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors.
