Heavy metal festival Psycho Las Vegas has announced its first line-up for 2022, which will rock the stage next August. Mercyful Fate, Mayhem and Wolves in the Throne Room are among the acts set to play at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas from August 19-21, 2022.
Emperor, Satyricon, Watain, Samael, Boris, Mgła, Cirith Ungol, King Woman, Marissa Nadler, Bombers and Year Of No Light are some of the other acts fans can expect at the 2022 festival. This line-up includes some of the international bands who couldn’t make it to the 2021 festival due to travel restrictions. More artists are to be announced in the coming year.

Mercyful Fate, who haven’t played in the US in over twenty years, announced earlier this summer that they would play at the 2022 festival. The band was originally supposed to participate in the 2021 festival together with Wolves in the Throne Room, but decided to postpone it to the next year.
In July, the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem Atavistic released Black Disorder / Kommando. This EP contains 4 punk rock covers and features glowing guitars and powerful, authoritative vocals.
The organizers of Psycho Las Vegas hope that the 2022 edition will run more smoothly than the 2021 edition. This year’s festival, which only took place last weekend, was faced with numerous deadlines. The event was originally postponed to 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. Psycho Las Vegas has been forced to replace several international acts, including headlining band Emperor, due to visa issues due to strict US travel policies. Guitarist and rock singer Wino made headlines when he pulled out of the event because he was required to wear a mask.
The Skull canceled their performance after it became known that singer Eric Wagner had been hospitalized with COVID pneumonia. The skull announced today that Wagner has since passed away.
Psycho Las Vegas is a three day festival infamous for both its unique atmosphere and eclectic rock lineup. Previous acts included The Flaming Lips, Mastodon, Danzig, HEALTH, Old Man Gloom, Megadeth and Electric Wizard, among many other rock titans.
