SÜDWEST – Batch Hospitality, the company that wanted to open the two-story, 18,000-square-meter Platform One Food Hall with 20 local suppliers at UnCommons, is no longer involved in the project. At the announcement in May 2020, chefs like Geno Bernardo, who had Nove Italiano at Palms and ran Herringbone at Aria; Claudia Andracki from the Desert Bloom Eco Farm; Jessica Perlstein, senior sous-chef at Main St. Provisions; and Roy Ellamar, who has just left Harvest at the Bellagio, were all involved with the project. Batch Hospitality included classic Italian restaurant owner Piero, Evan Glusman; Wayne F. Jefferies, the co-owner of Stony’s Rockin Country; and Piero’s cook Chris Conlon. UnCommons says it is still planning to open a food hall. “We’re shifting our focus to another project,” said a statement from Batch Hospitality. [EaterWire]
