Fried, grilled, or served hot casual chicken dishes are the hit of the year, and national restaurant competitors Dave’s Hot Chicken, Angry Chickz, and Golden Chick are under construction across Las Vegas but promise to be coming soon.

Now three more restaurants are hoping to enter the crowded local market with their own twists on a chicken-oriented menu.

The first debut will be Bun Bun Chicken heading northwest, replacing Shawarma House Mediterranean Grill at 5861 W. Craig Road. The preview of a menu they warn is “hot, hot, hot”. Guests can expect chicken and waffles, as well as grilled cheese sandwiches with garlic butter, deep-fried Cajun corn with parmesan, and ice cream sandwiches for dessert.

On the west side, Blue Hen Chicken Co. is currently hiring before moving to the former Jackie Bee Boba Express area at 6250 W. Charleston Boulevard.

The breakfast and brunch project shares that it will source its ingredients locally and serve a menu of chicken sandwiches, “fun side dishes”, salads, savory and sweet crêpes, and a team of baristas pouring coffee and espresso.

San Diego-born Epic Wings franchise is expanding out of Southern California, importing its collection of fillet strips, boneless bites, and buffalo wings. Franchisor Kevin Davis is behind the move but has not shared a potential local site. Also on the menu are the very popular Buffalo Chicken Pizza Picks and stacked french fries with cheese, chicken and chipotle ranch dressing.

Exact opening dates and future opening times for all three companies have yet to be announced.
