Catch in Las Vegas offers brunch satisfaction

For a very Vegas brunch experience, Catch got us hooked. The Asian-influenced seafood and steak restaurant, which is a major celebrity draw for its LA and New York City outposts, made its star-studded debut at Aria in late 2018. Since then, it has built an excellent reputation for delicious food in a dazzling setting.

The environment demands attention from the moment you walk through the stunning 25 meter long arched pergola set in a rainbow of flowers, lush foliage, and twinkling lights. This entrance has become one of the most desirable places to catch those jealous social media posts in Vegas. The decor, including a gorgeous, garden-inspired main dining room, serves as a precursor to the cuisine, which is deliciously designed to satisfy taste buds and visually delight as well. And the new brunch menu continues this tradition with flying colors.

Start the experience with a dash of caffeine and healthy, freshly squeezed juices. The roasted almond iced coffee is a must for coffee lovers, with a soft and silky blend of espresso, almond milk, sugar, vanilla pod, egg yolk, salt and roasted almonds. The green juice is good for your body, packed full of vitamins and minerals from a mixture of celery, kale, parsley, pineapple, orange and green apple.

What makes this brunch menu perfect is that diners can still order catch’s popular dinner options like the popular truffle sashimi. The melt-in-the-mouth tuna and hamachi slices are placed in a pool of chili ponzu topped with caviar and black truffle puree. Other nigiri and sashimi options include eel, yellowfin tuna, uni, toro, salmon, and Japanese yellowtail.

Another favorite, fresh from the sea, is grilled Spanish octopus in a garlic aioli. The restaurant also offers the coveted Japanese Miyazaki Wagyu A5 during brunch, which is served in 3, 6, or 9-ounce servings and cooked at the table on a signature hot stone with one side of eggs.

For more brunch bites, however, order the new cinnamon roll pancakes, which are not to be missed. Slightly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, the cakes are given a brown sugar-cinnamon swirl and are topped with cream cheese frosting, powdered sugar and candied almonds. For a real culinary delight and a healthy tip, the egg white omelette deserves great praise for its combination of egg white, turkey bacon, artichoke, rocket, and caramelized onions and goat cheese. The smashed organic avocado toast also offers a strong flavor note with a large portion of avocados on sourdough bread and topped with sweet heirloom tomatoes and medium-boiled egg with a garnish of pomegranate seeds, pickled chilies and radish slices.

One must-order dish for that total Vegas brunch experience is the picture-worthy The Anytime Waffle Tower, suggested by the waiter to finish the meal for its dessert-like quality. The triangles made of gluten-free waffles are piled high between the layers of vanilla, chocolate and raspberry ice cream coated with raspberry jam and then topped with a chocolate ganache and whipped cream. Our favorite part? Dip the waffle bites into the pool of mixed, melting ice!
