Las Vegas just can’t get enough of celebrity eateries, and a new one is bringing Italian fare from celebrity couple Giuliana and Bill Rancic. The couple, along with Lettuce Entertain You RJ’s restaurant partners, Jerrod and Molly Melman, plan to open RPM Italian in the Forum Shops in Caesars in early 2022, a very short-lived Slanted Door area at the front of the mall on Las Vegas Boulevard, diagonally from another Lettuce Entertain You, Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab restaurant.
Pasta – made with dishes from Guiliana’s mother Mama DePandi, who appeared often on Bill and Giuliana’s reality show – makes up a large part of the menu, cooked in-house by more than a dozen daily; Think Mama DePandis Bucatini, Maine lobster ravioli, spicy king crab with squid spaghetti, and lobster fra diavolo.
The menu also features antipastos like provolone-filled peppers, imported burrata and big eye tuna bruschetta, as well as steaks, including a top-notch dry-aged bistecca fiorentina; grilled seafood such as Ora King salmon and grilled king prawns; and a spray program paired with a wine list from RPM wine director Richard Hanauer.
The former E! News host and former co-host of Live from the Red Carpet Star and her The Apprentice husband, who starred in Giuliana & Bill, opened her original RPM Italian in Chicago in 2012.
RPM Restaurants will once again team up with the Rockwell Group, who also designed RPM Seafood in Chicago, to create the look and feel of the space. RPM Italian will offer an indoor lounge, a dedicated sommelier bar and two intimate private function rooms.
The couple has been talking about RPM opening in Las Vegas since 2012 when Bill Rancic told Us Weekly, “So we decided to open another called RPM Steak. It will be in Chicago too. It’ll be about two blocks from RPM Italian, and then we’ll be eyeing Vegas for the next RPM! “
The restaurant is the sixth of RPM brands including RPM Italian in Chicago and Washington DC, RPM Steak, RPM Seafood and RPM Events, and the first for the RPM brand to open in Las Vegas.
RPM Italian will be Lettuce’s sixth restaurant in Las Vegas, alongside Mon Ami Gabi, Eiffel Tower Restaurant, Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab, El Segundo Sol and Stripburger & Chicken.
The Slanted Door opened shortly before the start of the pandemic in 2020 after a lengthy construction process and was then never reopened in the Forum Shops.
