Surprisingly, Carla Pellegrino, once a Las Vegas restaurant operator, is about to debut her latest cooking project bringing Dough House Restaurant & Bar to Spring Valley. In this completely women-run restaurant, Pellegrino serves the menu of Italian cuisine with a French flair. Their menus are still fondly remembered at the Bratalian Neapolitan Cantina, their Italian restaurant in Henderson that closed in 2018.
To share lots of details but tentatively push for a grand opening on November 4th, Dough House is near the intersection of Russell Road and Rainbow Boulevard. The 4,243 square meter room replaces Mama Leonie’s former houses with shutters and later the Go Vegan Cafe.
Surrounded by the “Roman” facade of the Eldan Center, which is designed with 12-foot columns, the Brazilian-born, Italian-raised chef will oversee a “varied menu” that includes live piano music, a cocktail bar and a curated selection of wines is accompanied. The restaurant is the first of three planned locations.
Pellegrino’s resume, a former top chef candidate, includes Rao’s at Caesars Palace, Bacio at Tropicana, Meatball Spot in Town Square, Touché in Miami and at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel in California.
