Emma Coulthurst, a money-saving travel expert for Travel Supermarket, explains; “If you pay attention to your budget, Eastern European destinations such as Krakow, Prague or Budapest offer you the cheapest Christmas week.

Emma also explained that Christmas Day falls on a Saturday this year for those taking a Christmas break. So all you need to do is take four days of vacation if you leave work on December 27th. You can take an 11-day break from work on December 31st, finish work on December 24th and return on January 4th.
