There’s no way to gloss it over: that summer in Vegas has been one of the most brutal of recent times. But there’s a great way to get away from the heat while enjoying world-class entertainment: Mandalay Bay’s Concerts on the Beach series, which combines the hottest live acts with one of the coolest venues on the Strip so you can soak in the Water can relax in the melodies.
The series starts on August 1st with a singer-songwriter Lee Brice, whose chart toppers include “Hard to Love”, “I Drive Your Truck” and “I Don’t Dance”. The country sensation is on the program on August 6th Cole Swindell, an artist known for both his solo work and songwriting skills for other artists including Luke Bryan (“Beer in the Headlights,” “In Love With the Girl,” “Shake the Sand”), Thomas Rhett (“Get Me Some of That”) and Florida Georgia Line (“How We Roll”).
Since 2014 he has released three albums – Cole Swindell, You Should Be Here and All Of It. His high profile singles include “Flatliner”, “You Should Be Here” and “Chillin ‘It”. In 2015 he was named New Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
The fun will last all summer including:
irrational (August 7th) This sunshine reggae band has been making the fans rock with live shows since 2004. They have released seven albums, each with their signature combination of reggae, dub, pop and rock.
Caifans (Aug 28) The latest iteration of this Rock en Español outfit has been performing in the US, Mexico, and Central and South America since 2011 (though technically dating back to 1985) and keeps audiences on their toes with a combination of British New Wave, Progressive Rock and Latin Percussion.
rebellion (Sept 3) Rebelution was founded in the Santa Barbara / Isla Vista area in 2004 and like Iration, Rebelution excels at live shows where its reggae rock style goes perfectly with cocktails.
Bronco (Sep 18) This Mexican grupero band has sold more than 10 million albums since its formation in 1979, and their pop style (not to mention their lavish stage set) is sure to make fans smile and dance into the evening bring.
