LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas reports that it has achieved an 80% vaccination rate among its employees and has received government approval to increase its capacity to 100%.
In a press release, the resort said it had hit 80% vaccination rate on Tuesday, May 4, and will fulfill its promise to pay vaccinated employees over $ 1 million in cash rewards. The resort also extended its vaccination period from May 1-8 due to an “overwhelming” response from staff.
“We believe the only clear path to normalcy and the return of our entire workforce is through vaccination,” said William McBeath, President and CEO of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. “It is important not only to The Cosmopolitan but to our entire industry to ensure that travel can return safely to its destination. The Nevada Gaming Control Board approved 100% on-field capacity and removed social distancing restrictions and plastic barriers on gaming tables.
