With tourists flocking back to Las Vegas, paid parking is returning to another casino on the Strip.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will begin charging non-hotel guests for valet and self-parking fees starting June 1, with a few exceptions for membership status, according to its website, and for locals who receive a few extra hours of free parking.

If you park your own car, the first hour is free, but it costs $ 10 to park for up to four hours or $ 15 to park for four to 24 hours, the website says.

It costs $ 15 to $ 20 to drop off your car at the valet.

Registered guests at the Cosmopolitan can continue to park themselves or use the valet service at no additional charge.

“As we continue to see increasing travel demand at the destination and welcome full hotel occupancy again, the resort will reintroduce paid self-parking for all non-hotel guests from Tuesday, June 1,” the Cosmopolitan said in a statement on Thursday Review journal. “For locals visiting the resort, the first three hours of parking are free with valid Nevada ID.”

The Cosmopolitan, owned by New York financial giant The Blackstone Group, waived self-parking fees for non-hotel guests last year when Nevada casinos reopened after more than two months of government-ordered lockdown to address the coronavirus outbreak slow it down.
