Are you one of those people who have to plan every minute? Yes, me too. But when I plan, my day goes smoother and I get dinner on time; Check it out with me in this episode of Las Vegas Magazine’s Day Planner series as we explore the action-packed intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. This is a dynamic area with lots of attractions, restaurants and shows. Please make a reservation and bring your mask with you.

8 o’clock in the morning Breakfast is a questionable topic for Vegas visitors as some postpone it to lunch, especially when relaxing from the party in Hakkasan the night before. I suggest running to the coffee stand in the morning for a quick cup, and while there are plenty of Starbucks and the like, a great option is at Eataly in the park MGM. The deep, strong coffee at Caffè Lavazza can be accompanied by panini, pastries and more.

9 am Take a shower, why not? You have a lot to do.

10 am Hoof it for the new FlyOver Las Vegas, on the site of a former cinema north of the MGM Grand. Here a huge screen stretches across your field of vision as you are lifted up in your seats. The seats move up, down, and even roll as you watch a movie that appears to take you through some of the most iconic lookouts in the western United States. Go to flyoverlasvegas.com to order tickets.

11 clock Hungry already? Today you are on the way Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at the MGM Grand, where you can order the potato chips truffled with blue cheese as an app. Pizza and pasta won’t weigh you down too much here and you can people watch while the restaurant looks out over the casino floor.

1pm – 1pm Pull out the bunch of twenties and get into the slots. at Tropicana Las Vegas, you’ll find lower ceilings and a real old-school vibe while Excalibur means high ceilings and an almost medieval flair. You’ll find a mix of games, from Vegas favorites to the hottest new games.

3-5 Have a drink on the decks on the Strip Toms Urban or Nine fine Irish. The prices don’t really drop like they do on real happy hour, but the drinks are delicious. And on weekends, Nine Fine plays a band outside. at The park next door, Beer house is a nice little bar with a decent beer menu (and some local favorites too).

5-6:30 p.m. Head back into the room to take a little nap and clean up for your dinner (or show if you are pampered for happy hour).

19 o’clock Have you made reservations at Nomad library in the park MGM? The typical chicken here is raved about for good reason, but the fabulous decor could overwhelm the food. It’s spectacular. You have to hurry to do your 9:30 pm show Jabbawockeez at MGM Grand – these dancers are just amazing. However, if you ate during happy hour you will too Legends in concert at Tropicana Las Vegas, where you’ll see tribute acts channeling iconic musicians, leaving you plenty of time to get back to playing the slots. Because you won earlier, didn’t you?
