Las Vegas already has smash rooms, ax throwing, escape rooms, karaoke lounges, a golf experience, and a darts lounge along the way. All of them have a lounge and maybe even a restaurant next door. It is now Pickle Ball’s day as a California-based restaurant group opened a three-acre, 10,000-square-foot facility in The Bend, the 158,511-square-foot retail and restaurant project under construction in southwest Las Vegas across from 10 acres Ikea.

Dapper Cos. worked with Paul Frederick, the co-founder and chief development officer of the Eureka Restaurant Group, to develop Electric Pickle and bring America’s fastest growing sport to Las Vegas. Frederick opened Eureka !, the restaurant and bar in Fremont East.

In 2022, the complex will have nine pickle ball courts for 36 players, a two-story restaurant with a terrace and rooftop bar, three bars, cornhole and bocce playgrounds, and a lawn for live music, yoga classes and other group gatherings include and 2023.

Pickle, a relatively new sport invented in 1965 on Bainbridge Island west of Seattle, is played on a hard surface smaller than a tennis court but using a net, solid rackets, and a perforated plastic ball. The Sports & Fitness Industry Association estimates that approximately 4.2 million people played pickle balls in the United States in 2020, up 21 percent from 2019.

The restaurant plans to offer casual convenience fare like Neapolitan pizza, Mexico City tacos, American burgers, and Korean protein and hemp bowls. Both dinner meals and contactless ordering are offered, including the dishes to which the orders are delivered.

Once open, players can book a seat reservation online for around $ 30 an hour.

In addition to Lotus of Siam, Shang Artisan Noodles, Baguette Cafe, Mothership Coffee Roasters, Freed’s Dessert Shop, The Great Greek, Aces & Ales Brewery, Tacos & Beer, The Bend also plans to launch the first new Galaxy Theater Luxury in southern Nevada , and more. Other newcomers are the Southern California based Saint Felix Spirits & Fare with craft cocktails and food; Union Biscuit, a new breakfast and brunch kitchen that will offer biscuit sandwiches as well as Asian-influenced dishes; and Italian graffiti by head chef Marc Marrone and partner Todd Lunger.
