Encore Las Vegas is the newest casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip that invites guests to bring their four-legged friends with them.

Now that the property is dog friendly, Encore’s VIP (very important for puppies) program offers an array of amenities for man’s best friend. At check-in, dogs are given a toy, an Encore bandana, a treat and a cleaning bag.
And it wouldn’t be Wynn without going over the top, so the doggy in-room dining service makes perfect sense. A dedicated in-room dining menu for Milo is available, offering “a range of in-house cooked options from snacks to meals”.
While you are playing, Encore Las Vegas offers walking and / or sitting services for an additional charge.
The Doggy VIP program isn’t cheap. A nightly fee for up to two dogs is $ 125 for resort rooms and $ 175 for suites. The cheapest price through August for the dog offer is $ 284 per night. With taxes and resort fee, that’s $ 322.
Although there are no breed restrictions, each dog is only allowed to weigh up to 35 pounds.
Dog friendly casinos
The Las Vegas Strip is known today for its glitz, glamor, and five-star resorts, much more than just gambling. But that doesn’t mean that pets are not welcome. In fact, Sin City is very hospitable to dogs.
In late 2019, MGM Resorts, the operator of most of the casinos on the Strip, announced that all of its properties would be pet-friendly. Like Encore, MGM charges a nightly fee for bringing the family dog, which ranges from $ 50 to $ 175 depending on the room and resort. Dogs must be 50 pounds or lighter.
MGM offers its guests a “dog concierge” for on the go. For a fee of $ 20, a concierge team member will check the dog and take a picture and text the guest, who shows the pet safe in the room.
Caesar’s properties also allow dogs up to 50 pounds. Do you have a bigger puppy? Strip hotels with no dog weight restrictions include The Cosmopolitan and Four Seasons.
Pet statistics
Allowing guests to bring their pets while they stay in Las Vegas is big business. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, 38.4 percent of US households own a dog. The group reports that there are more than 76.8 million domesticated dogs.
SunTrust Bank estimated in 2019 that Americans would spend nearly $ 140 on each of their pets during the December vacation. Vacation spend per pet has increased every year for this century.
Anyone who has flown an airplane in the past few years has also likely noticed an increase in the number of animals on board. However, that changed in December when the U.S. Department of Transportation changed its rules for air travel with service animals.
The federal agency said emotional support animals are no longer considered service animals. In order to take a dog on an airplane, the service animal must be “individually trained to do work or tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability”.
