Las Vegas: Exclusive Fall Events
Las Vegas is transforming this fall with two limited international deals.
In September, Encore is presenting Casa Playa, a vibrant Mexican concept under the direction of Executive Chef Sarah Thompson, at Wynn Las Vegas. The enhanced dining experience features authentic dishes, innovative cocktails and entertainment, all of which work together to create the ambience of a lively Mexican playacita.
Guests will experience a curated mezcal and tequila collection in an upscale dining experience. The menu features playful dishes like pumpkin blossom quesadillas, fried Baja fish tacos, blue shrimp ceviche, and yellow fin tuna tartare. Seafood platters focus on oysters, scallops, king crab legs, lobster tails, and shrimp cocktail.

Strong flavors can be found in starters such as tostadas with black truffle, duck confit tamal with mole de la casa and ricotta and octopus, served with coloradito mole and potato in escabeche. The main choices include branzino a la talla and yucatan chicken pibil with orange annatto adobo and potatoes.
“My goal in creating the menu for Casa Playa was to balance creativity and tradition to ensure each item is a culinary adventure,” said Chef Thompson. “Casa Playa will have a lively social atmosphere so we wanted to complement this with food that is meant to be shared and enjoyed in great company and conversation.”
Then down the Strip at Bellagio’s Mayfair Supper Club, diners will find one of the Mediterranean’s most coveted dining and entertainment experiences: Lío by Pacha Group. Lío Ibiza is offered exclusively from October 18th to 31st and offers a dynamic performance that combines provocation, beauty and mischief in an incomparable sensory experience all night long.

Orlando: Halloween and Fall Festival
While Orlando is always a fan favorite with theme park enthusiasts, fall is a particularly exciting time for seasonal festivals. That’s because Orlando is calling itself the Halloween vacation capital of the world thanks to a slew of fun and spooky events at theme parks, restaurants, and hotels across the destination.
At Universal Orlando Resort, visitors can experience haunted houses, fear zones, live entertainment and Beetlejuice performances from September 3 through October 31. Or stroll through a maze inspired by the Netflix series “The Haunting of Hill House”.
SeaWorld Orlando guests can experience horror at Howl-O-Scream from September 10th through October 31st. The event features haunted houses and fear zones with an interactive celebratory bar for adults, while the whole family has daytime events with Halloween characters at the SeaWorld Spooktacular.
At LEGOLAND Florida, guests will find spooky fun with Brick or Treat, a trick or treating party with exclusive Halloween characters. At the weekend, guests of Gatorland will also find alligators, ghosts and goblins with special themed shows, surprise monster appearances and the Oktoberfest pavilion by “Frank & Stein”.
Outside of these attractions, Orlando visitors can expect even more spooky fun at the Orlando Science Center and Museum of Illusions Orlando, while the Downtown Arts District hosts the 12th annual Dia de los Muertos & Monster Party on October 21st for the Dead and Halloween-inspired art by regional, national and international artists. The festivities also include outdoor dining and drinks and entertainment.
With all of these seasonal deals, guests should keep an eye on what’s on offer at accommodations in the area. For example, Universal Orlando Resort has a special 4-night Halloween Horror Nights hotel and ticket package with prices starting at $ 149 per person per night. The 4-day stay includes tickets to three popular parks: Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay. Guests also have one night entry to Halloween Horror Nights and select live entertainment venues at Universal CityWalk.
