Hit-and-run crash investigated in southeast Las Vegas Valley

A man was hospitalized Sunday morning after being hit by a vehicle that left the scene in the southeastern Las Vegas Valley.

Police were called to the intersection of Boulder Highway and East Flamingo Road shortly after 12:30 p.m., according to a press release from the Metropolitan Police Department. The injured pedestrian, a man in his thirties, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he is reported in critical condition.

The vehicle was traveling northwest in the right lane of the Boulder Highway when it hit the pedestrian. Video surveillance revealed the driver got out and got back in his vehicle and fled the scene north on the Boulder Highway. The vehicle has been identified as a silver 2003-07 Cadillac CTS and has yet to be found.
