It’s not often that a whole new and very huge building is built in Vegas; after all, there is not much room left for them! Until 2007, the Stardust Resort & Casino stood on the site where Resorts World is today. It was a long way from the last stand of the Stardust to the completion of Resort World. We tell you how it came about and what to expect when you want to book a trip.

The Stardust was demolished in 2007 to make way for the Boyd Group’s planned Echelon Hotel. Although construction began on Echelon Place, a poor financial forecast led the Boyd Group to sell to Genting a few years later. Although construction was scheduled to begin as early as 2014, various setbacks – including a nasty legal battle – took Resorts World Las Vegas significantly longer than planned before it really got going. It took until 2017 to get serious construction and it was only a few months ago that the resort finally opened to the public.

Coincidentally, this was just a godsend as recent reports suggest that international travel is back on the agenda for many of us. It could be that there will soon be a lot of low-holiday vacationers appearing on the Las Vegas Strip. Due to the collapse of some major construction projects in Vegas, this option from Genting is the only brand new resort opening on the Strip. So it looks like Resorts World may have a lot of fully booked bedrooms.

For those looking to stay at the hotel, there are several options available at a price that will suit most budgets. The Hilton rooms are on the lower end of the price spectrum and offer clean, comfortable, and modern accommodations at an affordable price. At the upper end of the price range you will find the suites, villas and palaces. The palaces may be pretty big names, but they deserve their title. With four en-suite bedrooms, private gardens, valet parking, all-linen sheets, and incredible floor-to-ceiling views of the Las Vegas Strip, the price is more than justified if you have the money to spare.

Vegas is famous for its casinos and while the hotel part of this resort is incredible, the casino part is out of this world. Fans of online jackpot games can play their favorite video slots or use their skills to really spin the wheel. Resorts World has more than 117,000 square feet of gaming space, including table games and slot machines. For an even more luxurious experience, you can even go to Sky Casino for incredible views over the city and some of the most incredible chandeliers on the Strip.

The best news is that you don’t even have to leave the table to enjoy your meal in one of the brilliant restaurants. This company is dedicated to bringing back the old Vegas style hospitality so you don’t have to queue at the buffet – just order and it will arrive. If you prefer to eat while sitting down, the Resorts World Casino is of course there for you too. With an almost ridiculous selection of restaurants on site, you’ll be spoiled for choice. A special focus is on Pan-Asian street food, which will delight both gourmets and picky eaters. Whether you like dim sum or Korean fried chicken, yakitori or a bao bun, your taste is more than satisfied. Oh, and if that’s the buffet that’s your fancy then The Kitchen at Resorts World is open for you. With a world cuisine there is everything you could want from a buffet and with so many other choices the queues shouldn’t be too bad either.
