Ryan Reaves may be leaving Las Vegas, but his beer isn’t going anywhere.
The tough right wing of the Golden Knights, which has become immensely popular with Knights fans and the entire community, has been swapped for the New York Rangers, the Knights announced on Thursday. But 7Five Brewing Co., named for Reaves’ number, will stay here in Las Vegas where, in partnership with Able Baker Brewing Co.
“We’re full steam ahead in every way,” said 7Five co-founder Adam Coates, who was vacationing in Canada. “We knew from the start that Ryan was a professional athlete and change is a big part of that business. We’re disappointed that he couldn’t finish his career there because he loves Vegas so much, but the brand and what we’re trying to do in town remains. Vegas is his home; he will retire there when he leaves hockey. “
7Five currently offers Training Day Golden Ale, Dawn Breaker Lager, Shiver Giver IPA and Grim Reaver Imperial Stout, as well as Showtime Blonde Ale in partnership with MGM Resorts International. The beers are mainly sold in Las Vegas, but Coates said that is likely to change.
“We are considering expanding into other markets like St. Louis and possibly New York,” as well as Reno, he said. “It is really important to Ryan, me and 7Five that we are fully committed to Las Vegas and are so grateful for the support we have received from our partners and the community for a long time.”
