Las Vegas Airport officials urge vacationers to arrive early and use mobile apps to check-in ahead of time for their flights.
“We always encourage people to plan ahead and take plenty of time for a busy travel season,” said Joe Rajchel, spokesman for McCarran International Airport. “Everything will go a long way towards reducing stress.”
The Terminal 1 multi-storey car park and the Terminal 3 economy car park have reached their capacity limit, according to the airport’s Twitter account. Passengers who got off their vehicles were instructed to park in the Terminal 3 garage.
Although the coronavirus pandemic has not yet ended, Rajchel said that this holiday season appears to be more people traveling with available vaccines and some state restrictions that have been lifted.
“People are eager to travel and eager to see loved ones they may not have seen in nearly two years,” he said.
The long-term parking garage Terminal 1 has been full “for several months” at the weekend, according to Rajchel.
