A drunk woman was picked up on a Frontier Airlines flight from Las Vegas to San Diego that was later canceled.
On Monday, a woman boarded the plane and caused a disruption that drew the attention of staff and passengers on board. The woman refused to leave and was maskless, passenger Serena Smith told 13 Action News.
Although the woman was removed from the plane, she had nothing to do with the flight’s cancellation, a Frontier Airlines spokesman told Newsweek.
“Flight 2127, which was scheduled from Las Vegas to San Diego, was canceled on Sunday evening for operational reasons – there was no connection between a passenger’s actions and the flight’s cancellation. We have affected customers with a refund option (up to a specified amount) if they choose to rebook with another airline and each receive a Frontier travel voucher worth $ 100 as a gesture of goodwill, “said Zach Kramer, Frontier Corporate Communications Manager, “In addition, customers always have the option to request a refund if Frontier cancels their flight.”
After the woman was escorted off the plane, the flight could not continue due to the overheating of the fuel on the plane at McCarran International Airport. More fuel had to be added to cool the aircraft, which ultimately led to the flight being canceled.
A Frontier spokesman said 13 Action News passengers received a $ 100 voucher and the option to rebook with another airline after canceling.

Across America, the number of airplane incidents has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On August 3, a passenger named Maxwell Berry was arrested after allegedly assaulting and groping flight attendants on a Frontier flight from Philadelphia to Miami. When he was taped to his seat, the passenger began to use profane language without a mask.
“You guys, damn it, shit,” he yelled. “My parents are worth more than a fucking $ 2 and you know what – you fucking bastard.”
He also said his grandfather was “worth more than that damn airplane”.
Passenger Alfredo Rivera captured the whole ordeal on camera. He told WPLG that he was shocked by the 22-year-old man’s behavior.
“He got aggressive and basically attacked the male flight attendant,” he told the station.
Frontier Airlines issued a statement to Newsweek regarding the incident.
“During a flight from Philadelphia to Miami on July 31, a passenger had improper physical contact with a flight attendant and then physically assaulted another flight attendant,” the statement said.
On July 12, an American Airlines passenger was taped to her seat after she tried to open the aircraft door. She also bit and spat on an anonymous flight attendant who was trying to help her.
American Airlines made a public statement regarding the incident.
“During the flight from Dallas-Fort Worth [DFW] to Charlotte [CLT] On July 6, the crew aboard American Airlines Flight 1774 reported potential safety concerns after a customer tried to open the front entry door and physically assaulted, bitten and injured a flight attendant, “a company spokesman said.
“For the safety of other customers and our crew, the person was detained at CLT until the flight landed and could be picked up by law enforcement and rescue workers,” the statement continues.
Newsweek has contacted McCarran International Airport for additional comments.
Correction (08/09/2021, 8:45 p.m.): An earlier version of this story said that the woman’s removal caused the flight to be canceled. It was a technical problem that canceled the flight. Newsweek regrets the mistake.
